HOSPEEM, the European Hospital and Healthcare Employers’ Association, is currently seeking a full time Junior Policy officer in European Affairs to start in October 2011
Tasks and responsibilities:
Organisation and planning of meetings in the context of social dialogue
Organisation and coordination of HOSPEEM meetings
Communication with members’ organisations
Communication and coordination of activities with trade union counterpart in the social dialogue committee
Drafting negotiating mandates, briefing notes, HOSPEEM opinions on healthcare related issues
Support in implementing EU funded projects
Profile:
University background in a relevant field
Professional experience
Interest in the healthcare sector but working in the health sector is not important
Good knowledge of European social dialogue actors and process
Good knowledge of EU-institutions and decision making process
Fluent written and spoken English (knowledge of another language is an asset)
Excellent drafting, analytical and negotiating skills
Good computer skills
You will be dealing with senior managers of the European health care sector who are HOSPEEM members. Therefore flexibility, openness and ability to work in and with the team are indispensable skills
Fixed term contract of 1 year under Belgian Law
Based in Brussels, Belgium
